What is Secured by Design and do I need it?
It is a police backed standard, a step beyond the PAS 24: 2022 specification that comes as standard, and it is what satisfies Approved Document Q where a property has to meet it. On a secluded property it is worth specifying whether or not the building regulations require it, because the whole point of a screened plot is that nobody is overlooking your ground floor.
Does the security specification change how the window looks?
