Cardiff's Victorian and Edwardian expansion produced one of the most consistent terraced landscapes in Britain, through Cathays, Roath, Canton and Grangetown, with bay windows to the ground floor and tall sash openings above repeated street after street. Pontcanna and Penylan add larger Edwardian houses on wider plots, and a substantial part of the inner terraced stock is now student or rented housing.
What we supply, and how it works
Where a street is this uniform, a replacement either matches or announces itself, and the bay is the element that decides it. Capturing the bay accurately on the schedule, with the angles and the width of each face, is what allows the frames to be built to the geometry that is actually there. The specification range then covers the rest: any classic RAL colour, Farrow and Ball matching, dual colour, and glazing bar layouts set to the pattern of the street.
This is a supply arrangement. You send a schedule of sizes, the windows are made to measure to it, and they are delivered kerbside to your address in Cardiff for your own contractor to put in. The sizes are yours, because the windows are built to the schedule you provide and nobody from our side has seen the openings.
What you control on the specification
- Colour.Eleven foils, five of them with a genuine woodgrain effect, plus any classic RAL shade sprayed or a Farrow & Ball colour matched. Dual colour available, so inside and outside need not agree.
- Glass. Toughened in both sashes as standard, with acoustic, laminated, solar control and obscure available and specified per window.
- Detailing. Deeper bottom rail, sash horns included or omitted, Georgian bars inside the sealed unit or external astragal bars, and shaped frames including Gothic, swept head and true arch.
- Hardware. Eight finishes including Antique Gold, with inset finger pulls and D handles as options.

Will the windows meet Welsh building regulations?
The product data is what travels: an A+ Window Energy Rating, 1.3 W/m²K as standard and 1.2 with enhanced glazing, PAS 24: 2022 security and Declarations of Performance under BS EN 14351, BS EN 1279 and BS EN 12150. Wales has its own Approved Documents, and compliance is confirmed by whoever installs the windows, which on a supply-only order is your own contractor.
Can you match the pattern across a whole terrace?
Yes. One specification for the glazing bar layout, colour, sightlines and whether horns are fitted can be applied across every property on a schedule, with each window made to its own measured size. That is what keeps a uniform street uniform.
