The sash stock in Liverpool
Liverpool's Georgian Quarter around Canning Street and Falkner Square is one of the largest concentrations of Georgian housing outside London and Bath, brick and stone with tall formal sash frontages, extensively listed. Across the rest of the city the stock is Victorian and Edwardian: terraces through Toxteth, Kensington and Anfield, and the larger villas of Sefton Park, Aigburth and Mossley Hill.
What we supply, and how it works
A coastal city adds weather to the usual considerations, and the tested figures are the ones to read rather than assume: Class C4 wind resistance at 1600 Pa, Class 4 air permeability, Class 7A water tightness and a colour matched weather bar joined to the bottom sash. On the Georgian frontages the specification reverses to appearance, where matched divisions, slim sightlines and external astragal bars are what make a replacement sit correctly.
This is a supply arrangement. You send a schedule of sizes, the windows are made to measure to it, and they are delivered kerbside to your address in Liverpool for your own contractor to put in. The sizes are yours, because the windows are built to the schedule you provide and nobody from our side has seen the openings.
What you control on the specification
- Colour.Eleven foils, five of them with a genuine woodgrain effect, plus any classic RAL shade sprayed or a Farrow & Ball colour matched. Dual colour available, so inside and outside need not agree.
- Glass. Toughened in both sashes as standard, with acoustic, laminated, solar control and obscure available and specified per window.
- Detailing. Deeper bottom rail, sash horns included or omitted, Georgian bars inside the sealed unit or external astragal bars, and shaped frames including Gothic, swept head and true arch.
- Hardware. Eight finishes including Antique Gold, with inset finger pulls and D handles as options.
1.3 W/m²K as standard, 1.2 with enhanced glazing.

Do you supply to listed buildings?
The windows can be supplied to whatever specification has been consented, but the consent itself is between the owner and the local authority and needs settling before an order is placed. Send us the agreed specification and the windows are built to it.
Are test certificates available for a specification file?
Yes, the Declarations of Performance download from the homepage without a form. BS EN 14351 for windows, BS EN 1279 for sealed units and BS EN 12150 for toughened glass, all dated 28 November 2025, with production certified to ISO 9001 and ISO 45001.
